    ABOUT THIS EVENT

    Join us for another awesome Social Walk with Dan on Wednesday the 26th of June as we embark on our first Yarra River City Highlights walk. This central location should be easy for many to attend as we meet out the front of the Riverlands Bar (by the Yarra River). 

    Our Social Walks are a great way to get outside, get your body moving and make some amazing new friends along the way!

    WHAT TO EXPECT

    The Yarra River trail is around 8km and is a fun and easy hike for beginners and newbies! We'll be walking along the Yarra River from Flinders Street to the Church Street Bridge and then back again on the other side of the river.

    The Track is roughly 8km return and should take around 1-1.5 hours to complete depending on our pace. 

    All ages and fitness levels are welcome to this event. The walk is mostly flat and on concrete footpaths. 

    The Yarra River Trail is a gorgeous walk especially at night as the city lights glint off the beautiful Yarra River that impresses from start to finish.

    START TIME AND MEET LOCATION

    Meeting Location: Riverland Bar (out front by the Yarra River)

    Meeting Time: Arrive between 7:00 - 7:15pm to meetup for a 7:20pm sharp Departure.

    NOTE: Arriving on time is critical to the Walk getting away on time. Participants not check-in by 7:15pm may be left behind. 

    Parking - for those not coming by public transport there is paid parking nearby at Federation Square.

    WHAT TO BRING

    - Water (at least 1-2L)

    - Snack food for the hike

    - A warm jacket and clothing appropriate for cold Melbourne winters.

    - Money for pub afterwards (optional)

    WHAT TO WEAR

    - Comfortable Walking Shoes

    - Comfortable Weather Suitable Clothing (check weather on the day). 

    - Hat / Beanie

    FINISH

    The Hike should take around 1 - 1.5 hours with small breaks to enjoy some sightseeing. 

    This is an ideal mid week hike for those that find public transport accessible and want to be part of our ever growing community. Great vibes and gorgeous views of the city will stay with you long after the hike finishes.
