Melbourne Talent Meetup #31 - Leadership Through A Different Lens
Event description
Melbourne Talent Meetup #31 – Leadership Through A Different Lens
Have you ever felt that leadership wasn't for you because you don't fit the stereotypical "charismatic extrovert" profile?
Then you don't want to miss our next Melbourne Talent Meetup. We'll explore how neurodiversity and introversion aren't obstacles to leadership - they're powerful strengths that organisations desperately need.
Because one thing is obvious...
the question is no longer if we need diverse leadership styles, but how urgently we need to embrace them.
And, we know we always say this, but talent professionals have a more important role than ever. It's clearly on us to help business leaders recognise and nurture different leadership styles during this transformational period.
What's not always so obvious is how to get started.
We're super excited to have four exceptional leaders join us that night. Each brings their unique lived experience as neurodivergent or introverted leaders who have successfully navigated their own paths to leadership. They'll dive into:
- The hidden strengths of quiet leadership and how to leverage them effectively
- Creating psychologically safe environments that adapt to individual needs and styles
- Practical strategies for authentic, vulnerable leadership that challenges the status quo
- Ways to foster genuine belonging and enable diverse teams to flourish
- Real-world examples of how different thinking styles drive innovation and problem-solving
Whether you're an experienced leader looking for fresh perspectives, someone who's never seen themselves as a "typical leader," or a talent professional wanting to build more inclusive leadership pipelines, this meetup is a must-attend for anyone looking to broaden their understanding of what leadership can be.
So, join us for our 31st Melbourne Talent Meetup on Thursday, 8th May
