Melbourne Talent Meetup #36 – Building With AI When You’re Not A Developer.

Ever had an idea and thought “I could probably build that”? With AI, you might be closer than you think.

This time, there are no guest speakers. Just us. We (Matt and Stefan) ran out of excuses and put ourselves on the agenda, so be kind.

Neither of us is a developer. We started with ideas, picked up the tools, and built things that people actually use. Along the way we learned a lot, often the hard way, and we’re keen to share it.

Matt Woodard built Matty AI on his own. He’ll show you how it came together, and what it took to get people using it.

Stefan Welack builds with AI for his day job – and sometimes just for fun. He’ll talk about taking an idea from your personal laptop into a corporate environment: thinking about data and risk, partnering with Security, IT and Legal, and getting colleagues excited about AI, even when tech isn’t always everyone’s thing.

Then we’ll open up the conversation. Ask us anything, share what you’re building, and swap ideas with others in the room. We’re most looking forward to this part.

Whether you’ve built a few things already or haven’t started yet, you should join us. Most of us are still figuring this out together.
