MEMBERS ONLY | NSW DRAFT BUILDING BILL | RAA & ACA MEMBER FORUM WITH THE BUILDING COMMISSION

RAA (along with Association of Consulting Architects, with whom RAA has a memorandum of understanding) are holding an online forum with representatives of the Building Commission NSW to establish a clearer understanding of the implications of the NSW Draft Building Bill for regional practitioners.

Following two committee members attending the AIA led session on Monday, The RAA held an extraordinary committee meeting yesterday to discuss the implications of this bill and have formed some key questions which will be submitted to the building commission to form talking points for their presentation. Member questions received by Friday 12pm will also be submitted.

The bill is open for consultation for a very short time, with feedback being taken  until 9th September only. The RAA is drafting their own response and will also be providing you with a suggested response for you to sign and send, or amend as you see fit. These will be available shortly following the Forum, as we feel it's important we listen before responding.
