In 1966, the Santana Blues Band began introducing San Francisco to a unique blend of rock, blues, Latin & jazz. Come 1969 with the band now just called Santana, they smash Woodstock Festival & release their 1st album to critical acclaim. Latin Rock (aka Chicano Rock) was formed!
Fast forward & Australia’s Premier Santana tribute band ‘Soul Sacrifice – The Music of Santana’ will bring the Santana experience to the great MEMO Music Hall in the heart of St Kilda! A Latin Rock extravaganza awaits!
All the classics… Evil Ways, Black Magic Woman, Oye Como Va, She’s Not There, right through to the modern standards such as Smooth & Maria Maria.
For the band, it’s all about the music and delivering it with as much passion and grace as possible while paying a genuine and accurate tribute to the great music of Santana.
