A Natural Space for People Living with Dementia and Their Families

Enjoy unhurried walks, simple nature-based activities and light refreshments in a calming and welcoming environment that nurtures wellbeing, connection and moments of joy.

Part of the Wellness in Kings Park series, this program invites people living with dementia, their families, friends and carers to experience the restorative benefits of spending time in nature together.

Did You Know?

Research shows that meaningful outdoor activities and connection with the natural environment can have positive benefits for people living with dementia, supporting wellbeing, social connection and quality of life, while helping to slow the progression of some symptoms.

During Djilba, one of the most colourful and vibrant seasons of the year, we will celebrate the diversity of wildflowers and the renewal of the natural world. Participants will enjoy flower arranging, watercolour painting, the healing sounds of nature, create their own Pink Everlasting flowerpots, and discover how native plants are used as traditional bush foods and medicines.

Come along to connect with nature, share experiences and enjoy a joyful morning outdoors.

Bookings are $30 for 1x attendee & 1x carer per session or $80 for the 4-workshop bundle.
