Sat, 26 Jul, 10:30am - 1:30pm AEST

Event description

What familiar objects exist in your mind even when they no longer exist in reality?

Memory Postcard is a workshop exploring memories in relation to flooding.

We welcome all people who were impacted either directly or indirectly by floods.

During this workshop you will use paper to build a piece of furniture from your past, then photograph and take home a postcard-sized print of your memory. We will provide templates as a guide for you to learn sculptural papercraft and modelmaking skills as well as photography and lighting skills.

You will also learn how to use photogrammetry to scan your paper sculpture to turn it into a 3D digital object. We will place all of the objects into virtual reality so you can experience the miniatures as life-sized furniture using a VR headset.
