Price FREE Get tickets

Event description

Join us for this FREE mending class series, sponsored by the District Department of Energy and Environment.

Summary

An introduction to patch making with fabrics and working with rubber stamps. Participants will have the chance to carve their own stamps as an intro to block printing. This sewing workshop will focus on enhancing or upcycling clothes through both machine and hand stitching methods. Materials will be provided (fabrics, thread, needles, sewing machine).  Please feel free to bring your own sewing machine and any clothing items you'd like to add your creative touch to!

This workshop will be led by Motormouth, a creative platform facilitating projects and spaces to encourage collaboration and community.✨ MotorMouth has experience in upcycling and making unique clothing pieces, so we want to share sewing knowledge and encourage people to be open to creative solutions.

Please Note: Masks are required for this workshop.
