Event description

Cancer treatments can impact women’s bodies in many ways. Menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes, mood swings, urinary symptoms, low libido and sleep disturbances are common side effects and can impact physical and emotional health.  For some women, these treatments can feel extreme, speeding up symptoms that appear quickly and are hard to manage. Our presenter, Dr Giselle Darling, is a Sexual and Reproductive Health Consultant at the Royal Women’s Hospital. She brings a wealth of experience, having served there as the Menopause Research Fellow. Dr Darling has also held the position of  Slezak Research Fellow at Jean Hailes.  She has co-authored several publications on menopause and currently focuses on managing women who develop menopause as a consequence of cancer treatment.
This webinar will explore the challenges and strategies for coping with menopause induced by cancer treatment.
