Description
You’re not imagining it. Things can feel different.
Perhaps you’re forgetting words mid-sentence, waking at 3am, feeling anxious or irritable in ways that don’t feel like you, or wondering why your usual ways of coping no longer seem to work.
Menopause is not just a hormonal transition — it is also a nervous system transition. As hormones change, so can sleep, mood, stress sensitivity, focus and energy. For many women, it can feel as though their body is suddenly reacting differently to the same pressures of everyday life.
These workshops are for women at every stage of menopause — whether you are beginning to notice changes in perimenopause, are in the midst of the transition, or are post-menopausal and want to understand how to support your health and wellbeing for the years ahead.
Menopause & Nervous System Balance is a monthly Sunday afternoon workshop series for women who want a little more understanding, practical support and space to simply exhale.
Each workshop combines evidence-informed menopause education with guided breathwork, restorative sound healing, and a relaxed conversation with a menopause coaching specialist.
You’ll have time to rest, learn what may be happening in your body, ask the questions you have not had the chance to ask, and leave with practical tools to support yourself between workshops.
What the afternoon feels like
You’ll be welcomed into a warm, supportive space with mats, bolsters, blankets and eye pillows ready for you.
Julie will guide a gentle, choice-led breathwork practice to help you slow down and reconnect with your body. You’ll then rest into a restorative sound bath with Silv, before coming together over tea for an honest, supportive conversation with menopause coaching specialist Colleen.
There is no pressure to share. You can ask questions, join the conversation, or simply listen and learn alongside other women who understand.

An important note on breathwork
These workshops are designed to be gentle, supportive and accessible. Most breathwork practices are slow and calming, with options to rest, pause or simply observe at any time.
There may occasionally be more activating breath practices offered, always with clear guidance and choice. These may not be suitable for everyone. Please seek advice from your GP or treating practitioner before booking if you are pregnant; have cardiovascular disease, uncontrolled high or low blood pressure, epilepsy or a seizure condition; have had recent surgery; experience fainting; or are managing a significant physical or mental health condition.
Our space is trauma-informed and choice-led: you are always in control of your own experience. This workshop supports general wellbeing and is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Lineup

Julie Wix
Julie Wix, founder of Pause and Exhale, understands firsthand how challenging the menopause transition can be. Julie began experiencing perimenopause symptoms at just 37—much earlier than she expected. While raising a young family and working in senior leadership roles, she experienced disrupted sleep, anxiety, chronic stress, chronic pain, digestive issues and felt increasingly disconnected from her body. That journey led her to explore the science of the nervous system, breathing and recovery. Drawing on her background in psychology, breathwork and neuroplastic pain science, Julie now delivers Breathe@work programs that help organisations build Nervous System Intelligence and manage workplace stress. Through Pause and Exhale, she also supports women with evidence-informed menopause workshops that combine nervous system education with practical breathwork to help them better understand their changing bodies and navigate menopause with greater confidence

Silv Perkovic
Silv, founder of Breathology, is a certified holistic wellness practitioner dedicated to creating supportive spaces for deep healing and restoration. Through immersive sound healing experiences, Silv gently guides participants into deep relaxation, helping to calm the nervous system, encourage rest, and create space for reflection and renewal. Her approach is grounded in compassion, presence, and creating a safe, nurturing environment where women can reconnect with themselves during times of change.

Colleen Souter
Colleen, founder of Fearless & Free, is a menopause coach who supports women in navigating the physical and emotional changes of menopause with knowledge and confidence. With a Bachelor of Sports Science, a Diploma in Nutrition, and ongoing studies in Advanced Menopause Coaching, she combines evidence-based insights with a compassionate, practical approach. Colleen leads an open and supportive discussion where women can ask questions, share experiences, and gain a deeper understanding of hormonal changes, cognitive health, metabolism and musculoskeletal wellbeing, empowering them to make informed decisions about their health.
