Women's Health and Wellbeing Webinar Series: Menopause – Beyond Hormones
Description
Menopause – Beyond Hormones
An Ayurvedic perspective on navigating this important transition with greater understanding, balance and confidence.
Ayurveda views menopause as an opportunity for growth and evolution rather than a decline. This session invites women to explore menopause through this nourishing lens, restoring confidence, clarity, and reverence for this phase of transition.
In this special online presentation, Erandati Benjamin will explore the time-tested wisdom of Ayurveda and its holistic understanding of the menopausal transition, looking beyond hormones to consider the balance of mind, body and spirit supported by our alignment with nature’s rhythms. When approached with awareness and acceptance, menopause becomes a powerful gateway to enlivening inner intelligence and reconnecting with the Self. A symptom‑free transition is a natural outcome when balance is restored.
What We’ll Explore
Reframing menopause – viewing this transition as a natural stage of life rather than simply a condition to be “fixed”.
Understanding symptoms through an Ayurvedic lens – exploring how individual constitution, accumulated stress and imbalance may influence the experience of perimenopause and menopause.
The importance of stillness – creating space for rest, reflection, self-knowledge and personal evolution.
Living in harmony with nature – simple Ayurvedic daily practices designed to support balance in mind and body.
The “wise woman” years – exploring the potential for deeper wisdom, inner strength and a renewed sense of purpose.
Practical support – tips and tools to help women navigate this transition with greater ease and awareness.
A Different Perspective on Menopause
In many traditional cultures, the latter stage of a woman’s life has been associated with wisdom, experience and a greater opportunity to turn attention inward.
Ayurveda similarly encourages us to recognise transition as part of the natural process of life. Rather than approaching menopause only through its symptoms, we can also ask:
What is this new stage of life inviting us to become?
This presentation aims to educate and empower women with a broader understanding of menopause and practical ways to support wellbeing through this important transition.
