Menopause, Midlife and More
Description
Join Sarah Connor (advocate, changemaker, and founder of Menopause Over Martinis*) and Dr Samantha Newman (founder of FemaleGP) in a facilitated conversation.
Ahead of World Menopause Day, we are bringing together these two passionate women as speakers for an evening of honest, practical and hopefully entertaining conversation about menopause, midlife and women's health.
They will discuss hormonal changes to expect in midlife, the things nobody warned us about, common myths and misconceptions, with a range of tips, solutions and resources to support yourself or others through this normal, inevitable and powerful stage of life.
Sarah will happily explain some of the lesser-known symptoms and Dr Sam will talk openly about vaginas, testosterone and more . They won't tell you what you "should " do, but will suggest some realistic ways to put some effective midlife moves into action every day.
You are not alone.
You might be years away from menopause. You might be in the middle of perimenopause or post menopause or keen to understand and support someone else. Regardless of your age, stage or gender, everyone can benefit from learning about menopause / ruahinetanga.
Plus, you will be supporting the CHB Cancer support group in fundraising for the Cancer Society Hawkes Bay. All of us are affected in some way by cancer, through our whanau and friends.
Included: Hot prizes , a raffle or two and plenty of opportunity in the Q & A to ask questions you may not have felt able to ask out loud til now. Come along, everyone is welcome.
Description
Two randomly chosen attendees will win a beautifully screen-printed tea towel to stimulate conversation.
