MEN’S GROUP DISCUSSION
Book: King Warrior Magician Lover, by Douglas Gillette and Robert L. Moore
King Warrior Magician Lover (KWMG), is a work worth exploring for men who wish to embody noble ideals of manhood. This book discussion will be a four part video call discussion online, with each week focusing on one of the four masculine archetypes.
The first session will take place on Tuesday, 26th of August from 6:00pm to 7:30pm (AEST). The first archetype in this discussion series will be the Warrior.
The session will begin with an overview of the archetype, sharing key points from the book so that everyone is made familiar with the idea, and that a foundation for discussion is set. You are not required to have read KWMG to participate and gain something from these sessions.
Once the foundation of the concept is made, then the interactive part of the session will begin, opening the space up for discussion. The provoking questions for discussion are:
- What is a balanced warrior archetype?
- Where can this archetype be expressed?
- How can it manifest itself in modern Australian society?
Ideas and experiences can be shared to explore these questions with the purpose of men connecting ideas to a practical application.
