Train travel The closest train station to Parliament House in Sydney is Martin Place. As you come out of Martin Place Station, walk forward and you will see Macquarie Street. Cross the road and turn left. Parliament House is a 2 minute walk. Bus travel Buses run in Macquarie, Elizabeth and Castlereagh Streets. Route numbers 200, 309, 324, 325, 326, 327, 333, 339, 343, 373, 374, 376, 377, 380, 389, 391, 392, 394, 396, 397 and 399 service the area. By car Car parking is not generally available at Parliament House. Car parks are located at: Cook and Phillip Parks (access via Cathedral St) The Domain (access via St Marys Road). Sydney Hospital next door to Parliament House (access via Hospital Road). Wilson Carpark called Park House carpark, located at 187 Macquarie Street, Sydney. The carpark is open from 7.00am - 12.00midnight. 2+ hours is $95.00. By bicycle Bicycles may not be brought into Parliament House, however there are a number of nearby parking facilities at which bicycles may be secured. These include cycle rings along Macquarie St near the entrance to Parliament; U-rail facilities at Town Hall and Cook + Phillip Park, as well as bike cages at the Goulburn Street Parking Station. Entry instructions

Enter through the sliding glass doors where you will enter through the security check in. You and your bag/s will need to be scanned by security before coming into Parliament. Please follow the instructions from the security guards. If you have accessibility requirements that affect how you undergo security screening, please advise the security officers when you arrive.

After entry instructions

Once you have gone through the security check in, walk forward and then take the 2nd set of stairs on your left. The stairs will take you up and inside the building. For accessible entry, turn left after the first set of stars and enter through the sliding doors. A ramp will take you into the building to an elevator. Get on the elevator and go to the 1st floor. Reception is on the left as you walk in. Follow the signage to the Stranger's Room. If you run into issues, please ask the security guards or the staff at reception where to go.
