    Join VUSU for accredited, online, Mental Health First Aid Training!

    The course involves approx. 7 hours of elearning and 2x 3hr session with a professional. This training usually cost upwards of $150, but with VUSU you only pay $20 - or free if you are a VUSU VIP!

    eLearning is self paced and can be completed online, and must be completed before the sessions. 

    The class times are:

    Thursday 7th & Friday 8th September 9am-noon

    Both sessions & elearning must be completed to gain the training qualification.


    About the course:

    The Online MHFA teaches participants how to assist someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.

    The Online MHFA Tertiary Course includes two course components.

    Course Component 1 – Self-paced interactive eLearning (5-7 hours)

    The eLearning course component must be completed first and presents an overview of mental health problems and mental health crises.

    Course Component 2 – Instructor-led online session (2 x 3 hour sessions)

    Component 2 provides course participants with an opportunity to revise content covered in the self-paced eLearning program and to consolidate the application of this content with the development of practical skills in a group environment online or within a classroom.
