Event description

Become a Mental Health First Aider today with instructor Cassandra Roberts from Finding Your Wild Potential.

Saturday 27th of May and Saturday 3rd of August. 9am - 4.30pm.

Being a Mental Health First Aider means you can:

  • Intervene early. Recognise the warning signs of mental health problems in your loved ones.
  • Offer Support. Learn the skills to have an open, supportive conversation about mental health.
  • Respond in a crisis. Respond across a range of crisis situations where someone may be at risk of harm.
  • Reduce stigma. Reduce stigma and increase support for people experiencing and living with mental health problems.

Using a practical, skills-based action plan (Affectionately known as ALGEE), you will learn the skills to recognise and respond to someone experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis, until professional help is received or the crisis resolves.
