Mental Health First Aid Online - Blended Community Course
Event description
The Standard Mental Health First Aid (blended online) course will teach you how to provide initial support to other adults who may be experiencing a Mental Health Problem or Mental Health crisis until appropriate professional help is received, or the crisis resolves, using a practical, evidence-based Action Plan.
This course is internationally recognised, and accredited worldwide by the governing body for Mental Health First Aid™, Mental Health First Aid Australia.
Upon attending the course, you can complete the free post-course eAssessment and become an accredited MHFAider (valid for 3 years, and can be used to meet some industry CPD, university requirements, and workplace mental health programs).
This course is divided into two components:
Part 1: eLearning at your own pace (we recommend allowing approximately 6 hours), that must be completed first.
Part 2: TWO x 2.5hour LIVE web-based video sessions with an accredited instructor, run one week apart!
Please note when you choose a date, you are choosing the date for the FIRST SESSION - you will automatically be enrolled in the second session for the same day/time the following week.
