Mental Health First Aid: Refresher, 22 August, 2024

This training is for current Mental Health First Aiders whose initial 3-year accreditation is ending soon, but has not yet expired. 

In this five-hour Zoom session (with regular breaks), you will learn about the latest research in the mental health field, refresh your knowledge and skills to work through complex mental health first aid interactions, and practice your mental health first aid skills across a range of mental health problems and crisis situations.

You will be provided with a voucher to redeem for the latest version of the Mental Health First Aid manual. 

By completing a short assessment following this session, you can extend your Mental Health First Aid Accreditation for a further 3 years. 

Please check and ensure your eligibility

• You are eligible for a Refresher course if you have completed a full MHFA course and accreditation assessment, within the last 3 years.
• You will need to provide a copy of your Certificate of Accreditation to the Instructor prior to the training. You can access a copy via your Mental Health First Aid Australia profile/account.
• Participants who have last attended a Refresher Course will need to attend a full MHFA training course as per Mental Health First Aid Australia's accreditation pathway
