Mental Health First Aid Training & Certification - 20 & 23 October
Description
Mental Health First Aid Training
Tuesday 20 October & Friday 23 October | 10:00am – 4:00pm
Two non-consecutive days | Face-to-face | Melbourne
1 in 5 Australians experience a mental health condition every year. Workers are 6 times more likely to die from suicide than a workplace accident. The average mental health compensation claim costs $58,615 — nearly four times any other payout.
These aren't just statistics. They're people on your team.
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a nationally accredited, evidence-based course that gives you the practical skills and confidence to support someone experiencing a mental health problem or crisis — before it becomes one.
Whether you're a business owner, manager, team leader, or someone who simply wants to show up better for the people around you, this training will change how you see and respond to the people in your world.
What You'll Learn
Across two full days, you'll walk away knowing how to:
Recognise the early warning signs of common mental health conditions — including anxiety, depression, substance use, and psychosis
Start a supportive conversation with someone who is struggling — and actually know what to say
Respond confidently in a crisis — whether that's a panic attack, acute distress, or suicidal thoughts
Apply the MHFA Action Plan (ALGEE) — a clear, evidence-based framework for real situations
Know when and how to connect someone with the right professional support

Why Business Life Results?
At Business Life Results, we don't just deliver content - we create connection. Our sessions are interactive, real, and designed to meet people where they are. We've seen groups of reluctant participants walk in on day one and leave on day two having opened up, shared things they'd never told anyone, and genuinely grateful they came.
That's the power of this work, and what we bring to every room.
This training also supports your business's obligations under the Victorian Occupational Health and Safety (Psychological Health) Regulations 2025 — helping you go beyond compliance and build a culture where people actually feel safe.
Who Should Attend?
This course is for anyone who works with, manages, or cares about people. No prior experience or qualifications needed.
Invoices can be provided for employer reimbursement or direct billing to your organisation. Many businesses are funding this training as part of their psychosocial safety response — ask us how.
Private group training is available. Reach out to us at info@businessliferesults.com.au for more.
