Sat, 9 Nov, 10am - 1pm AEDT

Event description

Join us for a morning ride of community connection, to bring Mental Health into the open.

As a collective we will aim to ride a set amount of kms, with each person contribution contributing to the total. If you ride 1km or 50km it I'll counts, just like everyone making an effort to raise the awareness of Mental Health and remove the stigma. We have all been affected by mental health or know someone that has, by riding with the crew from the "On Track" program you are helping to demonstrate that better Mental Health is important, and we can navigate the challenges by riding side by side.

The ride will take place on the trails the surround The Edmund Rice Community Service location at Mt Atkinson. The route will have a 2km and 4km choice. You just ride what you want and how far you want at your pace. It's not a race....but you can go fast if you want. At 1pm each kilometre will be tallied up so we will celebrate how many k's we have been able to ride together. The celebration will continue with a free lunch around the campfire and more casual chats.

The ride is FREE to participate in.

Dates: November the 9th

Location: Edmund Rice Community Serivces, Mt Atkinson. 121-179 Grieg's Road, Truganina

Time: 10am to 1pm followed by lunch. Registrations open at 9:30

Age: It's an open age ride. Riders under 14 years old must have an 18-year-old plus rider with them.

Don't have a bike. There will be some available on the day (with helmets). If you can bring your own that would be helpful.

This event is the idea and work of the young people from the "On Track" mountain bike program.
