Inside the Mind - Practical Psychiatry for Primary Care
Description
Activity Title: Inside the Mind: Practical Psychiatry for Primary Care
This session aims to enhance General Practitioners’ confidence and clinical capability in managing complex and evolving mental health presentations in primary care.
Through contemporary discussion of treatment‑resistant depression, addiction disorders, the conflictual history of psychiatric diagnosis and nosology, neurocognitive difficulties in older age, and women’s mental health, participants will develop a more nuanced understanding of diagnostic challenges, limitations of current classification systems, and evidence‑informed management strategies.
