Event description

For this special Sunday afternoon soirée, Fred Smith will be getting the band back together with erstwhile touring partner Liz Frencham on vocals and double bass and mercurial Melbourne multiinstumentalist Carl Pannuzzo tickling the ivory of the grand piano. They’ll be presenting songs from their rich back catalogues and much loved Frencham Smith duo albums “Into My Room“ and “Lovethongs”. Expect an afternoon of heartwarming autumnal magic.

From the Press:

“Smith is a superb songwriter … Frencham has a voice with the appeal, emotional honesty and clarity of someone like Shawn Colvin … There is no other folk duo in Australia which even comes close to this magical combination.” Bruce Elder, Sydney Morning Herald

"Frencham Smith rings with authenticity and charisma…soulful instrumentation, powerful yet emotive vocals and engaging lyrical themes."  Zolton Zavos, The Brag

"This CD firmly establishes Fred Smith in the top rank of songwriters. Frencham is a superb singer and a solid and melodic bass player” Graham McDonald, Canberra Times

"Talent, voice and arrangement — what it’s all about!". Jim MacQuarrie, Acoustic Folkus
