Met(ric Tonne of Waste) Gala
Event description
Fast Fashun art collective presents Met(ric Tonne of Waste) Gala—a hands-on event where fashion, art, and sustainability collide. Using one metric tonne of discarded clothing, you’re invited to become the designer, maker, and model in a night of creativity, chaos, and celebration.
Sift through piles of clothing waste to create new haute couture and avant-garde looks. Sewing machines are available and Fast Fashun artists will be on hand to help. However, the use of safety pins is highly encouraged.
The evening will culminate with a DIY runway show where you can strut your new fit. You're also welcome to just sit back and watch the chaos unfold.
This is more than a party—it’s a chance to rethink fashion, challenge consumption, and celebrate the power of craft.
