Code Like A Girl has teamed up with Meta to bring you a workshop on creating unique augmented reality (AR) experiences.
What is augmented reality? AR is an interactive experience that superimposes a computer-generated image on the user’s view of the world. You are probably most familiar with the AR used as “facial filters” on Instagram and other platforms.
AR presents exciting opportunities for developers and creators to design new effects, monetise and build a business.
This is an exclusive chance for you to learn how to make and publish your own AR effects on platforms like Instagram.
This 101 Workshop is a quick-start course, designed for anyone who is curious about AR – whether you are a newbie or an aspiring AR creator. Hosted by Meta, this tutor-led workshop gives you the chance to learn how to create AR effects from the experts, alongside your Code Like a Girl community peers.
This session will cover:
- Getting started with Meta Spark - Meta’s AR platform
- The basics of making effects with Meta Spark
- Sharing your AR effect with the world
- What's next for AR creators
You don’t need any prior coding or design experience to join. Once complete you'll be ready to start creating!
