Where a dedicated quiet area cannot be provided a sensory map may be provided with your ticket to help you locate low-stimulation areas during the event. Please speak with the Accessibility Concierge or to a member of staff if you need help finding or using either service.

Companion Cards & Companions

If you have a Companion Card, you qualify for a complimentary second ticket to bring a companion. Please enter the access code “COMPANIONCARD” in the “Access Code” box at the top of the ticketing page of your selected event to reveal accessible ticket pricing. If you require a companion to access the event but do not have a Companion Card, we still encourage you to select Companion Card ticketing. M/FW understands that not all patrons who require assistance to attend events have Companion Cards and therefore our accessible ticketing options are available to all those who require it.

Getting There: Public transport

Train – State Library Station is located under Swanston Street, Melbourne, between La Trobe Street and Franklin Street. There are 2 station entrances/exits: one on Swanston Street, at the corner of La Trobe Street, and one on Franklin Street, at the corner of Swanston Street. The State Library Station Swanston Street concourse is also connected to Melbourne Central Station for changing between Metro Tunnel and City Loop services only. Melbourne Central Station is directly opposite the Library’s Swanston Street entrance. Country travellers can transfer to metropolitan trains at Southern Cross or North Melbourne stations. Tram – #10 tram routes take you directly to our entrances on Swanston Street and La Trobe Street. Bus – the nearest stops are in Lonsdale, Russell and Exhibition street
