Supporting someone through a mental health challenge can change, and even save lives. But knowing the signs to look for, and how to respond with confidence, isn’t always easy. MH101® gives you the tools, knowledge, and practical strategies to make a real difference.
Over three interactive online sessions (10am – 12pm on 20 - 22 October), you’ll learn how to:
Recognise signs of mental distress and mental wellbeing
Respond in supportive and safe ways
Know what to do when there’s a risk of suicide or self-harm
Access and refer to expert help when needed
Maintain your own wellbeing while helping others
What You’ll Gain
A stronger understanding of common mental health challenges: depression, anxiety, psychosis, substance use, stress, and trauma
Practical, real-world tools you can use immediately in your personal life, workplace, or community
Increased confidence to support friends, whānau, colleagues, or community members in distress
Who Should Attend
Adults aged 18+ who want to better support others, whether in their workplace, community, or personal relationships. No previous experience is needed.
