Event description

Supporting someone through a mental health challenge can change, and even save lives. But knowing the signs to look for, and how to respond with confidence, isn’t always easy. MH101® gives you the tools, knowledge, and practical strategies to make a real difference.

Over three interactive online sessions (10am – 12pm on 20 - 22 October), you’ll learn how to:

  • Recognise signs of mental distress and mental wellbeing

  • Respond in supportive and safe ways

  • Know what to do when there’s a risk of suicide or self-harm

  • Access and refer to expert help when needed

  • Maintain your own wellbeing while helping others

What You’ll Gain

  • A stronger understanding of common mental health challenges: depression, anxiety, psychosis, substance use, stress, and trauma

  • Practical, real-world tools you can use immediately in your personal life, workplace, or community

  • Increased confidence to support friends, whānau, colleagues, or community members in distress

Who Should Attend
Adults aged 18+ who want to better support others, whether in their workplace, community, or personal relationships. No previous experience is needed.
