MIAF 2025 - International Competition Program #9: The Friday Freaks Parade

The International Competition Programs are the backbone of the entire MIAF mission. Drawn from more than 2,300 submissions they showcase the best, most imaginative animating talent on the planet in a series of programs in which the only rule is diversity.

As we started narrowing down the submissions it became more and more obvious that a powerful stream of maniacal, yet darkly attractive films was beginning to loom out of the gloom. The animated universe was speaking to us, and this program is our reply; built around an almost indescribably rich parade of stunningly freakish characters and situations. Buckle up, and hold on tight.

This session is classified: Unclassified (M) Mature, not recommended for viewers under 15 years.

Please note that Backlot is NOT fully accessible. There are stairs with handrails, but no lift to the second floor where the cinema is located.
