From the Western Suburbs of Sydney to world surfing glory, 3-time world champion surfer Mick Fanning shares his extraordinary life story in his new memoir, All Heart.

From the tragic loss of three brothers to surviving a life-threatening shark encounter, this book explores how Mick overcame unimaginable hardships, finding strength in the face of devastating grief and fear.

Haunting and inspirational, this is the definitive story of one of Australia’s greatest sporting heroes. On a canvas that stretches from Alaska to Hawaii’s North Shore, it will captivate surf fans as well as readers who’ve never paddled out. Told with raw honesty and a breakneck tempo, All Heart hits with the force of a 50-foot wave.

‘I’ve questioned myself for years about whether I needed to write another book – whether I really wanted to revisit the ecstasy of the highs, the numb discomfort of the lows, or the agonising pain of the losses. For a long time, it felt easier to leave it alone. But I realised there’s value in being honest about the moments that shaped me – the wins, the setbacks and the growth in-between. I had to be willing to explore some of the darker chapters to understand them properly, and that process has been part of the healing. If sharing that journey helps someone else find strength or perspective in their own life, then it’s been worth telling.’  - Mick Fanning

Mick Fanning is a three-time World Champion who has become one of Australia’s most admired sporting figures. Born in Penrith and raised on the Gold Coast, he captured world titles in 2007, 2009 and 2013, earning a reputation for precision, speed and an ability to stay composed when the stakes were highest.

His life has been shaped by experiences far beyond competition, including the passing of his three older brothers and a shark encounter during a 2015 event that was broadcast live across the globe. Those moments profoundly shifted his perspective, strengthening his resilience and gratitude. Now an inductee of the Australian Sporting Hall of Fame, Fanning is also a father, husband and entrepreneur whose influence extends well beyond surfing, defined as much by character and humility as by championship success.

Tom Carroll is a two-time World Champion surfer, ocean adventurer and lifelong student of the sea.

From Sydney’s Northern Beaches to the world’s most powerful waves, Tom has spent four decades pushing the boundaries of surfing, performance and human potential.

Today, he combines his experience in high-performance surfing with breathwork, meditation and movement, helping people find greater presence, resilience and clarity.

For Tom, the ocean is the ultimate teacher. It demands courage, rewards awareness and reminds us that the greatest breakthroughs often lie just beyond the edge of our comfort zone.

Surf hard. Breathe deep. Stay present. Meet the moment.
