Micro Farming Workshop with Cardo
Event description
Learn how to grow sprouts and microgreens using recycled cafeteria trays with composted soil and specially selected seeds.
During this hands-on experience, attendees will prepare living organic soil on cafeteria or smaller sized growing trays and sow the seeds of 1-3 different kinds of microgreens. Attendees will take home planted their planted seed trays and watch them grow for up to 10 days, when they will be ready to eat!
After preparing the seed trays, Cardo will lead an open discussion about how to grow all kinds of greens and sprouts in various types of containers and growing conditions.
TO BE PROVIDED: Reusable growing trays of various sizes, Selected seed for greens and sprouts, Enough soil for several sowings.
WORKSHOP FEE: $35 | Early Bird Fee: $25 if registered prior to March 22nd. Proceeds benefit the Coppell Farmers Market.
