Microcredentials – Cross-Sector Partnerships: Opportunities and Obstacles
Event description
Sponsored by the Australian Microcredential Network and Engineering Education Australia, this interactive workshop welcomes both virtual and in-person participants who are passionate about exploring the complexities and opportunities of cross-sector partnerships in the development of microcredentials in Australia.
Focusing on the collaborative potential between education providers, industry, and government, this session will delve into the unique challenges and benefits of co-creating microcredentials that meet diverse learner needs and industry requirements. Participants will examine case studies to understand how successful partnerships have been established, maintained, and scaled, as well as where obstacles have emerged in aligning goals across sectors.
Whether attending virtually or in person, participants will engage in meaningful discussions about the technical, curriculum, and operational considerations that arise when multiple sectors come together to develop microcredentials. This workshop will emphasize the importance of communication, shared objectives, and flexible design processes in overcoming barriers to effective partnership.
