Mid Autumn Festival Dinner

🌻 EVENT DETAILS:

Join Jenny and Adrienne for their second annual Mid Autumn Festival dinner celebrating the harvest moon and all the abundance it brings. This festival originates in many Asian cultures and the organizers will be bringing traditional dishes and recipes from their cultural backgrounds while also featuring locally grown produce and ingredients of the diaspora.

🚙 PARKING

Please park on the farm side of the street anywhere up or down the street. Do NOT park on the grass across the street from the farm (you will see "No Parking" signs). This is important for safety vehicles to pass through. We reserve 2 driveway parking spots (in the gravel, on the right) for folks with accessibility needs.

🌼 ACCESSIBILTY INFORMATION

Venue is not certified ADA accessible. The farm's bathroom is not technically ADA accessible, but has been used by folks with wheelchairs. The majority of the farm itself is accessible, though not all parts are (we have some narrow pathways). Note that we use woodchips for the majority of our pathways.

ABOUT JENNY & ADRIENNE

Jenny is the daughter of Taiwanese immigrants and a transplant from the Bay Area. She eats, dreams, and plays with foods influenced by the Taiwanese, Chinese, Cantonese, Japanese, and British (settler) histories that shape her family's foodways. Her food system work is fueled by a lifelong joy in nourishing and building community through shared meals that preserve cultural traditions and celebrate diasporic creativity. 

Adrienne is a mixed, Chinese/white farmer from the Portland suburbs. Over her six seasons farming, she has continually been drawn back to cultural exploration of East Asian crops. Her current work focuses on participatory seed keeping practices in the diaspora.
