Mid Build Event - Arbor Green Development
Description
Arbor Green: A Mid-Build Look at High-Performance Housing
Wednesday 26 August 2026 | 11:00am – 12:30pm | 1-10 Liana Lane, Rolleston
Canterbury's townhouse boom has delivered plenty of density. The quality hasn't always kept up. Liana Lane, Arbor Green is our answer to what these homes should actually do for the people living in them: cost less to run, stay warm and dry, and remain within reach of first home buyers. All of it proven with data rather than assumed.
We want you to see it at the stage where the building still explains itself. The homes are fully enclosed and weathertight, the first round of airtightness testing is done, and the structural insulated panels are still exposed in places. That means the performance decisions are visible now, before the cladding covers them for good.
Josh Milne, our Design & Innovation Lead, and the Home Construction team behind Arbor Green will be on site to walk you through the build, along with our key supplier Formance and more partners joining on the day. You'll see the systems that do the work: SIP walls and roof, uPVC joinery, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, and an airtightness target five times tighter than the building code asks for. You'll see the evidence behind the numbers too, from the PHPP energy modelling to the mid-build blower door test that verifies performance up to 50% better than code.
There will be a short address on what makes these homes perform, guided tours through a few of the townhouses, and lunch on us.
Come along if you work in the industry or if you're after a home built to a genuinely higher standard.
Register your interest: we'll send a reminder with the final details closer to the day.
