Description

This workshop is designed for bellydancers and their friends who want to learn how to play Middle Eastern rhythms.

The workshop covers technique, from the right sitting position to how to play the different strokes on both darabuka (Egyptian tabla) and djembe and beginner 4/4 and 2/4 rhythms.

Your teacher, Heidi has over 25 years drumming experience, teaching drumming for dance with dancers and their friends/partners and hosting drum circles with people of all levels of drumming skill. Her experience allows her to meet you where you are on your drumming journey, leaving nobody behind.

Participants are asked to bring their own drums if they have them, both darabukas and djembes are welcome.

There are a few drums available for use but these need to be booked in advance to ensure everyone has a drum.
