Middle Ground - Young Writers Group
Event description
A monthly creative writing group and freeform workshop for writers aged 16-20.
School has ended. University and the workforce have arrived. But are you worried about losing that spark of creativity? Middle Ground, a freeform workshop and writing group for young Queensland Writers Centre members aged 16-20, is your opportunity to connect with likeminded writers and work on your stories, with access to advice and a consistent structure.
Queensland Writers Centre tutors facilitate the workshop and offer support by listening to ideas, reading work, and helping edit pieces for submission opportunities. We’re all about working towards goals, publishing opportunities, allowing for writing time and free discussion at every workshop.
Format
This is an in-person group meet-up and workshop for young writers (aged 16-20) with a focus on craft; it will be held at State Library of Queensland. It is a program for young writers of all levels, writing backgrounds and abilities.
All Queensland Writers Centre youth writing events are free for members. Find out more about Queensland Writers Centre youth membership and more opportunities at www.queenslandwriters.org.au/youthwriting.
