Perimenopause and menopause is a different experience for all women. Accessing information, knowing what support services are available to you and feeling connected to the living experiences of others can be a challenge when living in a rural area. Join us for this free online information session with local women’s health professionals Vanessa Page and Mary Reema Antony to find out about:
the stages, timelines and variability of this life stage
common symptoms that affect your mind and body
myths and common misconceptions
when, where and how to access support

OUR GUEST SPEAKER

VANESSA PAGE is a Nurse Practitioner and Endorsed Midwife at Gateway Health in Wodonga, who grew up in regional Victoria. After completing her studies in Melbourne, she embarked on a career in remote health with time spent working in Victoria, Central Australia, overseas and the West Kimberley. Vanessa’s qualifications include Diplomas in Intensive Care and Midwifery, and a Master of Remote Health Practice: Nurse Practitioner. Vanessa is a member of several professional bodies and a facilitator for the CRANAplus Maternity Emergency Courses. She has volunteered in both Tanzania and Papua New Guinea as a Midwife to help build Midwifery leadership and capacity in both countries.
Vanessa transitioned back from remote Western Australia to regional Victoria 7 years ago and has set up two Nurse Practitioner models of care in both Yackandandah and Wodonga, and she recently joined the Breast Screen Victoria (BSV) Women's Health Mobile Clinic. She supports women and families through evidence-based, practical care across primary care and maternity, with a focus on accessible, respectful support across all life stages, including perimenopause and menopause. Vanessa has also been recognised at the HESTA Australian Nursing and Midwifery Awards for her work improving access to inclusive, community-based midwifery care.
OUR FACILITATOR
MARY REEMA ANTONY is a Health Promotion Officer at Women’s Health Goulburn North East (WHGNE). She brings both international clinical training and public health expertise to improve health and wellbeing for regional women and gender diverse people, supporting more inclusive, equitable, and community-led approaches to health service access. She is passionate about centring lived experiences and working alongside diverse communities, including migrant and refugee populations, to drive practical and meaningful change.
