I’m Liza Baker. (It’s pronounced Leeza.)

I'm a health coach, author, and women's soul care advocate who guides midlife women to stop performing wellness and start living it—rooted in intuition, alignment, and the sacred wisdom of this season of life.

I bring my passion, knowledge, and experience to the table to help you step into your sovereignty and use your glorious midlife powers for good—for your community, your nation, your world—and most importantly for YOU.

what do i do?

Whether it’s through 1:1 or group programs for individuals, my sweet spot as a coach is supporting the under-appreciated, under-listened to, under-taken-care-of, under-valued, overwhelmed, overworked, over-scheduled, overtired, and OVER. IT. ALL. women 50+. And yes—even if you can't relate to all that, my work can support you, too!

my background

In my previous lives, I got my BA Chinese Language + Literature from Middlebury College and my MA in Chinese Literature from the University of Colorado at Boulder. (I know, sounds weird, but it totally relates to my current work, I promise!)

I received my health coach certification—as well as secondary certifications in Emotional Eating Psychology and Hormone Health—from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition® and an AAS in Culinary Arts from the Cooking + Hospitality Institute of Chicago (later part of Le Cordon Bleu). In the years BC (before children), I was the owner and executive chef of a catering and private chef company in Chicago, and I’ve taught meal planning, cooking, and nutrition to all ages—from 7 to 97!

I live in a (mostly) empty nest in South Burlington, VT and am passionate about health + happiness, education + empowerment, SOLE/SOUL food + social justice.

I know the value of nutrition (both the whole foods variety and the more holistic kind) and I can help you discover and integrate the food and lifestyle choices that nourish you—without adding more “shoulds” and hours to your already overwhelming schedule.

I firmly believe it’s not just possible to be well while doing good: for us to do our best work in the world, it’s imperative that we’re not just surviving but thriving.
