Bottom's Midsummer Night's Dream: The Woods Grow Queer
Event description
Bottom’s Midsummer Night’s Dream: The Woods Grow Queer
Enter a world of enchantment, desire, and mischievous revelry in this electrifying queer reimagining of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Blurring the lines between fantasy and flesh, Bottom’s Midsummer Night’s Dream: The Woods Grow Queer is an audacious spectacle of drag, burlesque, and kink, where fae lovers, mischievous spirits, and mortals collide in a riotous celebration of queer joy and liberation.
This decadent, gender-expansive production reclaims Shakespeare’s classic with a fearless, erotic, and delightfully camp twist. Featuring dazzling performances that embrace the magic of transformation, the show explores power, pleasure, and the wild, untamed energy of the woods—where anything can happen, and everyone is free to be who they truly are.
Join us for this one-of-a-kind experience on Saturday, April 26, at 7 PM (doors at 6:30pm) and Sunday, April 27, at 2 PM (doors at 1:30pm) at Marsh River Theatre in Brooks, Maine.
