Ghost Media is here to bring you a brand new monthly event series for all our weeknight warriors
Introducing.... MIDWEEK MELTERS

Inspired by tales of Aotearoa's drum n bass scene in the early 2000s and Tuesday night raves back when Valhalla was Valve Bar, we've decided that the scene needs a return to its roots. To launch this series, we've locked in an all star lineup packed with some of our favourite DJs in the capital.

Our headliner is none other than ORDER UP
This production duo have been one of the capital's most prolific producers of top quality drum n bass for a few years now, bringing a fun and personalized touch to the funky and wobbly corner of the genre. They've represented on the world stage with releases on some donny labels including Grid Recordings, Mustard Music, Burna Recordings and Norman Foreman, as well as opening up for artists including Deekline, Makoto, Particle, Need For Mirrors, DJ Hybrid and Koherent. When it comes to underground dnb in Wellington, it's hard to look past these two.

Joining them we have ZANTE
Ben Knight aka Zante is a purveyor of the deep, dark and soulful side of drum n bass, with a penchant for sonic qualities that pluck your heartstrings. A top quality DJ and consistent hard worker, Zante has had mixes on some major platforms including Liquid Lowdown, Counterpoint Recordings, Future Funk Radio and Breaking Beats' George FM show. We can't wait to welcome him to Valhalla for the first time!

Bringing some old school flavour, we have WHAEA G
Whaea G supplies forward thinking selections with a focus on sparking neurons and moving feet. Humbled in servantry to the art form, she seeks to carve a way that follows the path laid out by sonic innovators before her. Her sets explore the relationships between a variety of points across the spectrum of soundsystem music.. A rising force in Te-Whanganui-a-Tara's DJ scene, she has performed alongside artists including Innamind Recordings, Sully, Jeremy Sylvester and 4am Kru, as well as rocking events such as Newtown Festival and Cuba Dupa. Whether you're after daytime grooving, late night hypnosis, or something in between, Whaea G has something phacked in the arsenal that will satisfy your musical urges!

Finally on opening duties we have 0800
After a brief retirement from drum n bass, 0800 is making his return to the 174bpm realm with a rare solo DJ set. One of the masterminds behind Support Your Local Collective, 0800 has performed alongside some major names including FD, DJ Cosworth, Ternion Sound, Silva Bumpa and Truant. His sets cover a range of ground from deep techno and pounding dubstep all the way through to rolling drum n bass, and we're honoured to welcome him for his Ghost Media debut.
