    Event description

In person at the University of Melbourne and Online

On Friday 18 November 2022 the Melbourne Social Equity Institute will host a one-day conference exploring migration, refugee studies and statelessness.

This event builds on the tradition of the Researchers for Asylum Seekers Conference which ran at the University of Melbourne for over a decade.

It provides an opportunity for graduate and early career researchers, as well as practitioners and policymakers working in the field, to present their work, meet with other researchers and to discuss their research with an engaged, interdisciplinary audience.

Sessions at the conference will cover topics including:

    • Identity, exclusion and racism
    • Human rights and asylum seeking
    • Integration, citizenship and statelessness
    • Co-design and participatory methodologies

The conference will take place in person and there is also an online streaming option.

Registration is free and a light lunch will be provided at no cost. The full conference program is available via the Melbourne Social Equity Institute website.

The Kwong Lee Dow building's accessible entrance is located on Leicester Street. To discuss any accessibility requirements, please get in touch via social-equity@unimelb.edu.au or +61 3 8344 7603.
