Mike Frazier Live In Melbourne
Description
On January 31st, Frazier makes his Melbourne debut. He'll be joined by local songwriters Matilda O'Brien and Ellen James.
Mike Frazier is a troubadour. He has released seven albums in the last decade. He has played hundreds of shows across thousands of miles while touring multiple times a year.
The singer-songwriter was raised in Winchester, Virginia, and in 2022 Frazier relocated to Seattle, Washington with his wife, author Stephanie Ann Bruno.
Frazier is inspired by the protest singers and songwriters of the 1960s and 1970s, his travels around the world, and human consciousness. He is an activist musician who is frequently seen performing and speaking at protest rallies around Seattle. As a producer, Frazier has collaborated with dozens of artists, and his deep love and reverie for songwriting is apparent in all he creates.
On December 11th, 2026, he will release his eighth album What Winter Brings on Geneva Records. The unique mist of a Pacific Northwest winter provides Frazier plenty of introspection. He tells the stories of the lives happening within the warmly lit windows of the moody Oregon coastline, and how those souls will work to figure out this journey together when they inevitably all step outside.

Ellen James is a whimsical alt-folk artist from North East Victoria. Her sounds were continually shaped by busking in various places and stages in her youth. With a rollercoaster of haunting vocals and songwriting, she creates intimate, atmospheric performances that shift with each setting. Inspired by Laura Marling, Michael Hurley, Kate Bush and an immeasurable amount more, her music balances storytelling intrinsic with steel strings inviting you to feel grounded while simultaneously some otherworldly presence.

Naarm-based artist Matilda O’Brien and her band lives somewhere between dream pop haze and folk-rock. Atmospheric guitars, rich textures and intimate storytelling weave through songs shaped by love, loss and grief, creating a sound that feels both expansive and deeply human.
