Description

In this interactive workshop, you'll discover how books can be a powerful tool to create meaningful connections, empower women, and support local businesses. Drawing from the experience of growing a small apartment-based book club into a thriving community of readers (the Bakery Square Book Club), this session will guide you through the process of starting and growing your own book club with a focus on inclusivity, connection, and impact. You’ll learn how to bring together people of all ages, create an environment of belonging, and turn your club into a platform for supporting women-owned businesses and local causes.

Some topics include:

1. Starting & Growing a Book Club: Practical steps to launch and sustain a vibrant book club that fosters deep connections and inclusivity.

2. Empowering Women in Your Community: How to incorporate women-owned businesses, entrepreneurial initiatives, and social causes into your book club’s activities.

3. Building Collaborative Partnerships: Tips for partnering with local indie bookstores, hosting pop-up shops, and creating a space where books, business, and belonging intersect.
