Event description

A Taste of Gemütlichkeit - A Pretzel Tour

Join us for a live production tour of Milwaukee Pretzel Company! Guests will be guided on a walking tour of our large scale bakery and warehouse to learn every twist and turn about our authentic Bavarian soft pretzels! You’ll see the pretzel process up close from start to finish - from how we make our pretzel dough, roll them into twists and where they go across the nation with the history of Milwaukee Pretzel Company sprinkled in throughout your time with us. The best part….

All guests will enjoy a freshly-baked 5oz pretzel at the end of your tour - and nothing beats a freshly salted pretzel right out of the oven!

Tours last approximately 30-45 minutes with time available for questions, photos and of course some shopping for pretzels to take home! All tour guests receive 30% off all day-of pretzel and merchandise purchases and a coupon for a 20% discount on future orders.

Groups of 10 or more and any special requests for tours (alternate dates/times, field trips, etc.), please contact our Tour Manager with your requested date, group size, and any relevant details at lauren@milwaukeepretzel.com.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Are children allowed on tours?

Children and families are welcome on our tour! We make sure the tour experience is fun and engaging for all ages. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times as this is a live manufacturing environment. We are not able to accommodate strollers or wagons.

Do you offer accommodations for visitors with accessibility needs?

We are designed to be accessible to all employees and visitors. A majority of our tour takes place in our production and warehouse environment which can be quite noisy. If you have specific accessibility needs or require any accommodations during your visit please don’t hesitate to contact us prior to booking with any questions or requests. We also request this information at the time of ticket purchase.

Are pretzels being made during tours?

Our tours take place in a working manufacturing environment. This means that our staff and machinery are actively making, packaging, and shipping our products; you may experience a variety of sights, sounds, and smells while walking through our bakery. In order to protect the livelihood of our employees and to keep the manufacturing process fully functional, tour areas will be limited in nature and there will be no interactive participation in manufacturing. Photos and video are not allowed on tours.

What should I wear/bring?

All guests must wear flat, closed-toed shoes (no sandals, clogs, or high heels). We highly recommend wearing comfortable shoes or sneakers. Additionally, long hair should be pulled at or above shoulder length - all guests will be required to wear a provided hair net in our production facility. Loose fitting clothing and jewelry (including watches, earrings, rings, and piercings) are not permitted. If unable to be removed, they will need to be covered. Guests cannot bring bags of any size on the tour - any personal belongings should be left in your vehicle or stored in our secure lockers during the tour. Due to health and safety regulations, guests who do not comply with these requirements will not be allowed on the tour.

Are photos/videos allowed?

Photography and video are prohibited on the tour, cell phones are not permitted in the production facility. Cell phones must be stored in your vehicle or in our secure lockers for the duration of the tour. A photo opportunity will be provided at the end of your tour.

When should I arrive and where can I park?

Parking for tour guests is available in our Visitor Lot on the south side of our facility. Guests should follow signage from the parking lot to the gray door on the north side of the building - where the loading docks are - and can ring the bell on the left hand side for entry. Please do not use the main entrance as the tour starts in a different area of our facility. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to ensure ample time for parking, check-in, and storage of any personal items. Tours will start promptly at the designated start time.

Do you have products and merchandise for sale?

There will be Milwaukee Pretzel Company merchandise and a selection of frozen pretzels available for purchase after your tour.
