Drawing on cutting-edge research in neuroplasticity, Dr. Rabin explores how the brain can adapt, heal, and thrive. He shares practical, science-backed techniques—ranging from breathwork, touch, and movement to the innovative use of psychedelics and wearable technology—to support learning, emotional wellbeing, and recovery from trauma, depression, and stress. Attendees will leave with actionable tools to optimize brain function, build lasting habits, and cultivate resilience in their personal and professional lives.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
The mind and body are intimately and irreversibly interconnected.
Neuroplasticity is learning. It is happening in every moment of our lives.
Fear, and learned fear from stress/past traumatic events frequently obstructs learning and memory, distracting us from the present moment, and attenuating compassion.
Safety is essential for learning and memory, as well as for accessing compassion.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Dr Dave Rabin MD, PhD (USA)
Neuroscientist and Chief Medical Officer of Apollo Neuroscience.

Dr. Dave Rabin, MD, PhD is a senior research scientist on faculty at The Florida Institute for Human and Machine Cognition (IHMC), the Executive Director of The Board of Medicine, and the co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of Apollo Neuroscience. His research focuses on understanding the mechanisms of action of psychedelic drugs and developing evidence-based guidelines for unregulated medicines and therapies that have proven effectiveness. His book A Simple Guide to Being Alive (June 2026) is a science-backed manual for anyone who’s ever felt overwhelmed by the modern world, exploring themes of burnout and navigating hard times through humour and often-overlooked practical steps to a saner life. He has been studying the impact of chronic stress in humans for 20 years with a focus on non-invasive therapies for treatment-resistant illnesses. His primary research on MDMA-assisted therapy for severe PTSD indicates that trauma can be reversed at the epigenetic level, offering hope of a cure. He received his MD in medicine and PhD in neuroscience from Albany Medical College and specialized in psychiatry with a distinction in research at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic.

MEDICINAL PSYCHEDELIC TREATMENTS
Psychedelic-assisted treatments offer enormous potential in providing a meaningful alternative to current treatments for mental illness. PTSD is a debilitating condition that affects tens of millions of people worldwide, with many more trauma victims diagnosed with comorbid conditions such as depression, anxiety and eating disorders. In recent clinical trials, MDMA has been shown to produce reliable clinical improvements, restoring patient safety and self-agency even for individuals who have suffered with PTSD for many years, and for whom many treatments have failed.
The wave of clinical psychedelic research and regulatory support is rapidly building, with experts forecasting the availability of psychedelic-assisted treatments in the US and EU within the next 2 to 5 years, subject to positive clinical outcomes in large trials that are currently underway.
