Description

Understanding ADHD: A Webinar for Parents of Children & Teenagers

Are you supporting a child or teenager with ADHD—or wondering whether ADHD may be part of their story?

Join our free psychoeducational webinar designed to help parents and caregivers better understand ADHD through a neuroaffirming and evidence-informed lens. Facilitated by Provisional Psychologists under the supervision of experienced clinicians, this 90-minute online session will provide practical insights, helpful strategies, and a deeper understanding of how ADHD can impact daily life at home, school, and beyond.

In this webinar, we'll explore:

  • What ADHD is (and isn't), including common myths and misconceptions

  • How ADHD can present differently across ages, genders, and individuals

  • The three ADHD presentations and how they may show up in everyday life

  • Executive functioning, emotional regulation, and behaviour—and why many challenges are neurological rather than intentional

  • Practical strategies to support routines, homework, emotional wellbeing, and school engagement

  • Understanding the ADHD assessment and diagnosis pathway in Australia

  • The "5 Cs" of supporting a child with ADHD: Consistency, Self-Control, Compassion, Collaboration, and Celebration

Who is this webinar for?

This webinar is suitable for parents, carers, and family members supporting a child or teenager who has an ADHD diagnosis, is awaiting assessment, or may be experiencing ADHD-related challenges.

No referral is required.

Please note that this is a psychoeducational workshop designed to provide information and practical strategies. It is not a therapeutic group and opportunities for personal sharing will be limited.
