Mindful Matcha– A Sensory Wellness Experience

What if self-care was a ceremony?
Welcome to Matcha & Mindfulness, a one-of-a-kind morning experience hosted by Thriving Away — designed to awaken your senses, calm your mind, and set an intentional tone for your day.

In a world that rushes, we forget to breathe, to sip, to simply be.

This session blends the grounding power of mindfulness with the intentional ritual of matcha drinking—two ancient practices that reconnect the mind, body, and soul.

Matcha, rich in antioxidants and rooted in Japanese tea ceremony, invites us to slow down. Mindfulness, drawn from traditions of presence and awareness, reminds us to tune in. Together, they offer a portal into stillness, reflection, and nourishment.

This is a 2-hour guided ritual that weaves together the art of matcha preparation with mindfulness . You’ll observe the preparation of ceremonial-grade matcha by Ken (Moegi Matcha Founder), and immerse yourself into a soothing mindfulness journey led by Archana (Pause to Rest Founder), a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified international yoga teacher and mindfulness guide.

09:15 AM – Guided Mindfulness Practice

  • Breath awareness & presence led by facilitator (Archana, founder Pause to Rest)

  • Setting intentions for the day

09:50 AM – Matcha Ritual & Conversation

  • Brief demo/exploration of matcha’s roots + mindful sipping experience

  • Invitation to drink slowly, with awareness

10:45AM – Journaling & Group Reflection

  • Prompt-based writing: “What does slowing down unlock for me?”

  • Optional sharing circle

11:30 AM – Closing, Gifts, & Connection Time

  • Participants receive their takeaway kits
  • Time for casual conversation or networking
