    Mindful Mondays with Emily McKie - 7th November

    Event description

    Slow down, take a breathe and join Emily for Mindful Mondays (mindfulness for performance) to help set you up for the remainder of the week.

    Join Emily as she helps you move from your Beta state (our logical, thinking mind that is always on the go) to your Alpha state (our relaxed, more creative flow state) to set you up for the week.

    The breathwork / meditation / journalling process should take no more than 30 minutes. You are then invited (but not obligated) to stay back and Emily will put you into breakout rooms to connect with others about your self-reflection journal questions for 10 minutes. This process will be completely guided, not awkward, and you will meet some very cool people. Emily knows well that long-term sustainable change and development happens within community so she encourages you to stay back and connect but this is a completely optional experience.


    Benefits of being in the Alpha (flow) state:

    - Increases Creativity

    - Enhances concentration

    - Helps sport performance + recovery

    - Assists in building our window of tolerance so we can deal with stressful situations better the future

    Timeline:

    8:00 - Introduction to Mindfulness Mondays

    8:10 - 5 minute breathwork + 5 - 10 minute meditation

    8:25 - Journalling prompts

    8:30 - Group sharing + insights

    8:40 - Final questions + closure
