    What’s Included

This thoughtfully paced mindfulness-based leadership development program is packed with simple, effective and transferrable skills and strategies. You will be guided through 5 steps to sustainable change that offer you the time, space, connections and experiential learning to gain the perspective and strategies you need to make the difference you want, for you and your team.

5 Steps to Successful Sustainable change:

STEP 1: Get Set for Success Leadership Assessment

When you purchase your place you will receive an online questionnaire that prompts you to reflect on where you’re at – your day day-to-day patterns, priorities and preoccupations. This will provide you and Sharn with a starting point for bringing your challenges and aspirations into the mix of the training and ensuring you get what you want from this unique leadership development experience.

STEP 2: Mindful Works for Leaders Retreat 17-18 April

Immerse yourself in 2 days of mindfulness-based PD and training. Away from the usual daily demands, distractions  and competing priorities you will be free to focus on strengthening your understanding and practice of mindful leadership. You will replenish your resilience and reconnect with your values and aspirations. You will leave with a deeper understanding of yourself and a personalised plan so that you can proceed with confidence to become the change you want to see at work.

    Everything is taken care of…

    • Accommodation – Your own Queen Bed room at Cedar Creek Hillside Lodge
    • Meals – Buffet breakfast, two lunches and dinner
    • 14 hours of expertly facilitated mindfulness-based leadership training presented as a series of 4 x 3.5 hour responsive, didactic and interactive workshops
    • Bonus 2 hours of guided mindfulness practice and mindful rainforest walk

These two days of instruction, reflection and  interaction, at the tranquil Cedar Creek Lodge in the Gold Coast hinterland rainforest is the circuit breaker you've been looking for. You will return to work relaxed, revitalised and empowered with a range of simple cost and time neutral strategies for reducing stress and overwhelm, and bringing calm and clarity to strategic priorities and relationships.

    • Time and support to put your plan into action
    • An invitation to a 90 minute online check-in and accountability session.

    PLUS…

You will have lifetime access to four guided mindfulness practices. These vary in length from 3 to 30 minutes so that you can always find at least a little time for focused practice.

    • The Mindful Works for Leaders Handbook

A reference you can return to again and again, well into the future. This comprehensive handbook explains the key concepts and practices of mindful leadership that you will encounter throughout the training. It includes a recommended reading list, space for reflective writing, intention setting and planning for on-going implementation.

STEP 4: Let’s Make it Stick Accountability Session

    90 minutes on-line.

After the Mindful Works for Leaders Retreat you will be invited to join a 90 minute on-line group check-in, practice and accountability session. This will be an opportunity to reconnect and reflect with your cohort, revisit and revise your plan for bringing mindfulness to life and leadership and ask Sharn anything.

    12-1.30pm Friday 3rd May

STEP 5: Candid Aware Leadership Mentoring

Your Certificate of Completion will arrive with an invitation to revisit your ‘Get Set for Success Leadership Assessment’ and to schedule a personal, confidential 1:1 deep dive call with Sharn. FAQs

What if I know nothing about mindfulness?

Not a problem. Whether you are completely new to the concept and practice of mindfulness or have been working with it for years, the program is designed to respond to who you are and where you are as a leader.

Do I need to sit on the floor?

Not at all. You are very welcome to sit on the floor if you prefer but chairs will be there for everyone.

    Is the program evidence based?

Yes. Sharn has been studying the practice of mindfulness and its effects for more than two decades. Her knowledge of the field has earned her invitations to speak at local and international conferences and to become scholar-in-residence at the Garrison Institute, NY. Her skills as a mindfulness-based facilitator, teacher and practitioner are renowned.

    Is the program religious?

No. The program is entirely secular. Nonetheless, as well as being a career academic, teacher educator and certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction instructor, the depth, breadth and efficacy of the program is informed by Sharn’s study of traditional Buddhist texts and receiving instruction from distinguished exponents of mindfulness, including the Dalai Lama and Thich Nhat Hanh.
