Mindfulness Sunset Walking Tour- Mapleton Falls National Park

Join me on Sunday afternoons for a slow, meditative sunset walk through the stunning Mapleton Falls National Park. You will be guided to walk more intentionally and slowly through the rainforest whilst focusing on your five senses. We will begin with a grounding practice to prepare for the approximately one-hour meditative walk following a 1.3km circuit, broken up into short sections to practice mindfulness techniques. The walking practice is done in silence to ensure each participant can fully focus on their practice to foster peace, stillness and increased connectedness to nature. After the guided walk, you will then have the opportunity to participate in a group debrief about your experience.
Key information:
Meeting location: at the information pagoda next to the Mapleton Falls National Park carpark. Please aim to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the commencement of the walk. PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately, due to recent vandalism the toilets at this location are closed: the nearest toilets located approximately 5-minute drive away at RSL Memorial Park in Mapleton.
What to bring: water bottle, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, a raincoat/jacket (unexpected rain is likely in the rainforest) and enclosed shoes which can get wet (in the event of recent rain). You are welcome to bring your own personal journal or notepad for the individual reflection time.
Who is it suitable for: we will be following the Wompoo Circuit, which is an easy Grade 2 walking track with some gentle hills and steps. Note: in the unlikely event that this circuit is closed due to rainfall, this walk will occur at a similar walking circuit at Kondalilla NP. Please also note that prams and walkers are not suitable due to the uneven track and steps.
This tour is best suited for adolescents ages 14 years onwards, who must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
This tour is suitable for people with all levels of previous meditation practice, all are welcome:)
Cancellation: in the unlikely event that this tour is rescheduled or cancelled due to more severe weather, participants will be notified as soon as possible. This tour also requires a minimum of 2 participants to go ahead (please note the Humanitix booking fees are non-refundable.
