Mine Pitch at QME 2026

Applications are now open for Mine Pitch @ QME, taking place on 23 July at the Queensland Mining Expo.

Delivered by Greater Whitsunday Innovation in partnership with the Resource Industry Network, Mine Pitch connects innovative businesses directly with decision-makers across the mining and METS sector.

The Queensland Mining Expo is one of Queensland’s leading mining events, attracting thousands of attendees across mining, engineering and technology and creating a strong platform to showcase your solution to industry decision-makers.

This is a unique opportunity to pitch your product or service to a panel of industry leaders actively seeking practical solutions.

What we are looking for

We are seeking solutions that are:

• Practical and easy to implement
• Cost-saving or efficiency-driven
• Relevant to regional industry challenges
• Able to demonstrate a return on investment within three years

How it works

• 5 selected applicants will pitch live at QME
• 5-minute pitch to a panel including representatives from BHP, Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal, Aurecon and Hastings Deering
• Panel feedback provided on the day
• Followed by one-on-one breakout discussions

Mine Pitch is a unique opportunity for Queensland innovators; start-ups and scale-ups to get a foot in the door to showcase their product and/or service solutions that can benefit the Mining, METS and Resource sector. Its a platform for some of Australia’s largest and most profitable companies to procure innovative new products and services locally, providing direct access to a panel of decision makers to gain feedback, advice, and connections to relevant parties for product trials.

Mine Pitch is a quarterly event throughout the year. Startups and Scale-ups will be joined by a panel of industry representatives that will provide feedback, advice and connections to the presenting companies. All parties will have opportunities to connect one on one following the event to further commercial discussions.
