Event description

As part of National Science Week (NSW) activities, we are thrilled to host a Mini MakerX event on Sunday 25 August at newly refurbished Makers Technology and Innovation Hub at the University of Tasmania, Cradle Coast Campus in Burnie!

An exciting family-friendly “Show & Tell” from people who love to, CREATE, LEARN INNOVATE and CHANGE! This one-day expo is aimed at raising the awareness of STEM activities (ranging from digital technologies and engineering to the sciences and sustainability), and to encourage our future workforce to engage in this space.

Connected to this year’s NSW theme, Species Survival - More than just sustainability, we will also have a focus on our local Little Penguins, their habitat and ecology.

Please come and join us for a community festival bringing together the elements that makes our region so unique. This gathering is designed to promote idea sharing, learning, participation, creativity and hands-on activities.
